An initial consultation and comprehensive follow-up estimate is included for each project.

Projects are generally divided into the following phases.

Preproduction

If there is one area that separates JBC Communications from the rest of the field, it is in the careful planning we invest in preproduction. We listen to your particular challenge, work with you to identify specific goals and objectives for the project, (i.e. what is the target audience supposed to do after experiencing the program)…and how will we track success and the return on investment. More time time and planning here ensures a more effective and efficient program, and helps keep costs down.

Production

Once a clear strategy is identified and script, storyboards and talent is approved, we craft the components that when melded together will comprise the final program. Shooters, illustrators, animators, photographers, audio engineers all work together with the project manager and the client to make sure their component of the program will integrate seamlessly with the others. JBC prides itself in its production people having broader knowledge of the production process than just their discipline – so a shooter, for example can think in terms of what an editor or animator needs. This knowledge and experience gives the client the piece of mind that their project is being shepherded through capable caring hands.

Postproduction

Following the acquisition of all the video, stills, audio, graphics, etc. these elements are woven together to create the final piece. This is where JBC prides itself in “no surprises” postproduction. We stand by our estimate from the initiation of the project. So long as the scope of work requested by the client does not change, JBC sticks rigidly to the estimate we provide the client. The only surprise we like is the client feeling we have exceeded their expectations … and we do that a lot.

Deployment/Duplication/Fulfillment

JBC is the leader in brilliant compression, encoding and deployment of video programs and modules across mulitple platforms. We are the leader in making your program look as good on the web, DVD or HD Blu Ray DVD as it did in our studio. We can also handle the mass duplication of your project in any media plus packaging and collateral material to ensure that the final product looks and performs well beyond your expectations.

Implementation and Results Tracking

Once the copies of the final product arrive to the client, many companies consider that the end of the project. In many ways however, that us just the beginning. The slickest looking video program will NOT meet the client’s objective if nobody sees it. JBC Communications is interested in the entire communications challenge companies and organizations face, including planning for how the program will be distributed and integrated into the client’s business practices, and how results will be tracked. This step is often not built into the project model of many production firms. JBC offers follow-up consulting to stay with the client through the implementation and results-tracking phase to ensure that JBC Communications fully met the objectives of the client.
