JBC Announces "Communities and Consequences" to Air on NH Public Television



Jay Childs and Peter Francese, in collaboration with the NH College and University Council are pleased to annouce release of a new documentary film "Communities and Consequences" to air on NHPTV April 14 @ 8pm and April 16 @ 9pm. The film explores the changing and aging NH human ecology and its consequences to the economic sustainability and quality of life for NH. The film also challenges long held assumptions, and how they affect decision making and planning by communities throughout NH. Segway turns to JBC for HD video as part of August Product Launch

JBC Communications recently completed 3 video programs to support Segway’s August international product launch of two new personal transporter models. JBC produced each program in High Definition video and then re-deployed the content based on multiple uses for each video. Projects included a US and international video news release, a dynamic marketing and retail video, and an engineer’s video, where Segway engineers shared some “behind the scenes” information on the technologies and challenges involved in delivering the new i2 and x2 models. JBC Produces Video News Release for GT Solar

GT Solar Technologies in Merrimack, NH turned to JBC Communications to quickly shoot, edit and encode a video news segment reporting on the visit of US Energy Secretary Samual Bodman last month.
The attendees included NH's Congressional Delegation and many area media outlets. The visit was an opportunity for GT Solar management to urge Sec. Bodman to support an R&D tax credit. Meanwhile Sec. Bodman mentioned he was "blown away" by the capabilities he saw at the facility. JBC is also currently producing a sales/promotional video program on its tabber stringer product line. Harmless Hazards Moves into Civilian Fire Fighter Training Market

JBC and Harmless Hazards/ Creative Optics, Inc. of Bedford, NH continue a 10 year relationship by producing a 4th version of their video promoting the transition of their firefighter training technology from a successful Department of Defense market to a civilian and commercial market. JBC has played a key role in securing follow-on funding for Harmless Hazards while it navigated its way through DoD channels. Now JBC is assisting Harmless Hazards in concisely explaining to customers the revolutionary nature of this technology.

JBC - Timberland Launch Outdoor Performance Product Line in Europe

JBC and Vayda Productions were retained by The Timberland Company, UK to create an exciting, aggressive video program to help launch Timberland's new line of Outdoor Performance footwear in multiple European trade shows. The video The video was shot in Colorado, Utah, UK, France and Barcelona Spain, and highlights the relationship between Timberland and world-class mountain climber Ed Vestures, Extreme Race Team Team Team Go-Lite, and sail racing teams in the UK and Spain. The program also included an original soundtrack from an area composer to add to the overall buzz. Following the run in Europe, the video was so successful generating interest in the new line of products, the program was expanded to include selected cities in the middle east, including Dubai in the UAE. "Caring For Mo" Film Now Case Study for Dartmouth Medical School Curriculum

"Caring For Mo", an Emmy nominated documentary produced by JBC Communications, is now the core case study being utilized for a new training curriculum at Dartmouth Medical School in palliative care.

The program chronicles one NH woman's battle with Breast Cancer. Using stunning black and white photographs, moving interviews with family friends and healthcare providers, an original scored soundtrack by Ward Dilmore and powerful narration by Laura Knoy, the film stimulates discussion about the impact of serious illness on patients, families and caregivers. The film is also a key training tool at Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NH where Rosemary "Mo" Runnals worked. The film was previously honored by the New England Society for Healthcare Communications with a Lamplighter Award as "Best Film or Video".
